BOOM Power completes sale of New Hall Solar Farm and remaining interest in Low Farm Solar Farm to Downing.

BOOM Power, a leading UK renewable energy developer, has completed the sale of New Hall Solar Farm and its remaining minority shareholding in Low Farm Solar Farm to investment manager Downing, further strengthening its track record of delivering high-quality renewable energy projects across the UK.

The transactions for both projects completed on 22 December 2025.

New Hall Solar Farm is a consented 22.2 MW solar photovoltaic project developed by BOOM Power from early-stage site identification through to planning consent. The scheme has been carefully designed to balance clean energy generation with environmental considerations, incorporating biodiversity enhancements and a sensitive, landscape-led approach.

Low Farm Solar Farm is a consented 49.9 MW solar project developed by BOOM Power, in which the company held a minority interest. BOOM Power has now completed the sale of its remaining shareholding in the project to Downing, marking its exit following the development and investment phase.

Together, the transactions reflect BOOM Power’s continued strategy of developing investment-ready renewable energy projects and partnering with long-term owners to deliver clean power infrastructure across the UK.

Downing, which invests across renewable energy and infrastructure assets, has acquired the projects as part of its continued commitment to long-term, sustainable investment in the UK energy transition.

Mark Hogan, Founder of BOOM Power, said: “The sale of New Hall and our remaining interest in Low Farm represents another important milestone for BOOM Power and underlines the strength and flexibility of our development platform. We are proud to have progressed these projects through consent and to see them move forward with Downing, whose long-term investment approach aligns well with our vision for delivering high-quality renewable energy infrastructure.”

Sean Moore, Senior Investment Director of Downing, comments: “We are pleased to be acquiring New Hall Solar Farm and BOOM Power’s remaining interest in Low Farm Solar Farm. These are well-developed, consented projects that reflect the quality of BOOM Power’s development work and align strongly with Downing’s strategy of investing in renewable energy assets that support the UK’s transition to a low-carbon energy system and deliver long-term, sustainable value.”

PKF acted as financial and corporate advisors to BOOM Power on both projects.

BOOM Power continues to actively progress a growing pipeline of solar and battery energy storage projects across the UK, supporting national energy security, decarbonisation and sustainable growth.
